The City of Breckenridge has canceled the boil water notice issued on Feb. 15 for water customers for the area between O’Connor Street and George Avenue, from East Elliott Street to the far south end of the water system.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform water customers that due to an interruption in service, water from the  system needed to be boiled prior to consumption. The necessary corrective actions was taken to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality, and the City has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559- 7249.
