January 21

  • A deputy took a burglary of a home report at a residence in the 10,000 block of U.S. Highway 183 South. A TV was stolen.

January 23

  • The Sheriff’s Office went to Young County Jail to arrest a 34-year-old male for a Motion to Revoke probation warrant related to a past felony DWI. The male was transported back to Stephens County Jail.
  • A deputy transported a minor to a juvenile detention facility in Abilene.

January 24

  • A deputy transported a minor to a juvenile detention facility in Sherman.
  • The Sheriff’s Office served two Insufficient Bond warrants on a 62-year-old male who was already in jail. The warrants were related to past charges of Bringing Prohibited Substance into a Correctional Facility and Possession of Methamphetamine.

January 26

  • A deputy took a report of illegal dumping in the 800 block of North Butte Avenue.

January 27

  • A deputy arrested a 37-year-old male at 607 S. James Ave. for a felony warrant out of Palo Pinto County for Burglary of a Building.

Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, traffic accidents/hazards, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, and some types of proactive calls.
