The last day to pay 2018 property taxes without penalty and interest is Jan. 31, 2019.  The tax office will be open until 4:30 p.m. that day, but payments that are slipped through the mail slot on the door between 4:30 and 5 p.m.  will be considered delivered on time.

Additionally, the tax office says that any mail received which is post-marked by Jan. 31, 2019 will be honored with the January posting of base tax only.

All tax payments received in person on Feb. 1, 2019 or by mail postmarked Feb. 1 will be subject to the 7 percent penalty and interest.
