First National Bank donation puts United Fund closer to goal

Breckenridge’s United Fund members recognized the employees of First National Bank of Breckenridge this week for achieving 100 percent participation in the organization’s fundraising campaign. Additionally, the bank once again matched the employees’ contributions, so the total received this year was $2,360.

United Fund President Sherry Strickland said that, so far, the United Fund campaign donations total $13,725 or more than 80 percent of this year’s goal, which is $17,000.

The organization is a local group that collects funds to support a variety of organizations. This year, the United Fund will make donations to the following:

  • Breckenridge Girls Softball Association
  • Girl Scouts
  • Cub Scout Pack 81
  • Boy Scout Troop 63
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Open Door
  • Breckenridge Little League, Inc.
  • School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)
  • Breckenridge Fine Arts Center
  • Stephens County Ag & Community Center
  • Breckenridge Library
  • Stephens County Humane Society
  • Breckenridge Lil’ Kickers
  • Swenson Memorial Museum
  • Dr. Goodall’s House
  • Stephens County Child Welfare Board
  • Friends of Historic Breckenridge
  • All His Children
