Local churches to bring free puppet show to Breckenridge on Jan. 5

Dennis Lee, a Dallas-based puppeteer, will present his “The Great Jungle Jam” show for Breckenridge at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, in the National Theatre, 116 E. Walker St.
Lee’s show will feature some of his new puppets, including a giraffe and a six-foot-tall ostrich. The event will be free, and the doors will open at 2:30 p.m.
The local presentation of “The Great Jungle Jam” is sponsored by Covenant Tabernacle Church, Trinity Baptist Church, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, First Baptist Church, Bethany Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, The Lighthouse Church, Gunsight Baptist Church, the Breckenridge Ministerial Alliance, and Tom Moore.
According to the Dennis Lee Productions website, Lee has been performing shows for children, as well as the people who love them and teach them, for over 43 years. He is an award-winning, family-oriented ventriloquist, comedian, musician, author, and inspirational speaker. He has performed all over the United States as well as Canada and Latin America.
Lee has written, produced and performed 36 episodes for The Family Network still airing in 186 markets around the world (some still in syndication), written over 300 original songs/lyrics, produced over 13 CDs, written and produced 56 DVDs, and authored and illustrated five children’s books.
