November 26
- The Sheriff’s Office arrested a 46-year-old male for Assault Family Violence after responding to a criminal trespass call on U.S. Highway 183 South. The arrested person was also issued a citation for violating the county burn ban.
November 28
- The Sheriff’s Office transported a 41-year-old male from a Texas Department of Criminal Justice state jail unit near Plainview, back to the Stephens County Jail. He is being held on two warrants related to fraud.
November 30
- The Sheriff’s Office hosted and led the annual Community Planning meeting. About one dozen community leaders attended. This is a time when resources and needs across the entire community are discussed, shared, and organized. The Community Planning meeting allows various local entities to be eligible to apply for grants.
December 2
- A deputy issued a criminal trespass warning to a 46-year-old female for a residence in the 9000 block CR 197.
Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, traffic accidents/hazards, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, and some types of proactive calls.
