Buckaroo pep rally honors first responders, veterans
In honor of this week’s Patriot Day (Tuesday, Sept. 11), the Breckenridge High School pep rally this morning, honored local first responders. Members of the Breckenridge Police Department, Breckenridge Fire Department, Sacred Cross EMS, U.S. military veterans and others attended the event.
The pep rally was in advance of this evening’s varsity Buckaroo football game against the Cisco High School Loboes. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Buckaroo Stadium.
Before the game tonight, United Supermarket will host a tailgate party in the parking lot of the grocery store at 1207 W. Walker St. They will be selling burgers, hot dogs or sausage on a stick, all with chips and a bottle of water. The items will be for sale by donation only, and all proceeds will be donated to the BHS band. The event kick off around 5 p.m. and should finish up around 6:30.
