Thirty-two compete in Bass Club’s scholarship tournament
The Breckenridge Bass Club’s annual scholarship tournament on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Hubbard Creek Lake had 32 anglers participate, 15 of them weighing in a total of 32 fish, which weighted a cumulative total of 115.96 pounds.
First place went to Shawn Taylor (11.89 pounds), second place was Brad Dubert (10.99 pounds), third place was Jerry Green (10.73 pounds), and fourth place was Riley Green (10.27 pounds). Rounding out the rest of the top 12 were David Livingston (fifth), Randy Sullivan (sixth), Jim Gill (seventh), Todd Toomer (eighth), Jay Miller (ninth), Richard Lancaster (10th), Cutter Golson (11th), and Jacob Sepeda (12th).
The biggest fish of the competition, a 6.83-pound black bass, was weighed in by David Livingston.
Sandy Creek Marina provided the headquarters and weigh-in location for the event and also provided the participants with food during and after the tournament.
