Shortly before the Meet the Bucks event in downtown Breckenridge Friday evening, three pedestrians were injured when they were struck by a vehicle at the intersection of West Walker and Court Street.

According to a report provided by Lt. Bacel Cantrell with the Breckenridge Police Department, the pedestrians were walking north across Walker Street around 5:30 p.m. when they were struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by a 57-year-old Cisco man.

According to the report, the pedestrians were crossing Walker Street from the south side of the street, going north. They were in the west side of the intersection and had just crossed the center line into the north half of Walker when they were struck by the pickup.

The vehicle was also traveling north on South Court Street. The driver was making a left-hand turn from South Court to travel west on West Walker when the front passenger side of his vehicle struck the pedestrians.

All three female pedestrians, a 30-year-old, a 12-year-old and a 2-year-old, were transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital by ambulance.  The 12-year-old was later transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth by helicopter where she was treated and released, according to the report. The 30-year-old and 2-year-old were treated at Stephens Memorial Hospital and released.

The case is still under investigation by the BPD.
