Construction workers were putting the final touches on marking the lanes on the east-bound side of U.S. Highway 180 (East Walker Street) near Graham Street (FM 287) in the construction area.  Workers are preparing to reroute traffic in the area to the east-bound lane. All traffic traveling in both directions has  routed into the west-bound lane for several months. After the change over, all traffic will be routed to the east-bound side and construction will begin on the west-bound lane.

By late Wednesday afternoon, the lanes had already been marked from Graham Street heading east and workers were marking lanes west of Graham Street and preparing to move the cones to reroute traffic.

The reconstruction project was started in the fall of 2016. According to the Texas Department of Transportation’s Project Tracker webpage, the project’s completion date is now estimated to be in April 2019.
