Current boil water notices lifted
July 13
07:06 2018

The two boil water notices recently in effect have been rescinded by the City of Breckenridge.

The first notice had been issued on the afternoon of July 3 and affected water customers from the 1400 block of East U.S. Highway 180 (Walker Street) and the 1900 block of East Elliott Street and all County Roads connecting to the east end of system. The second notice was issued Monday, July 9, and affected customers in the area from Elm to Jeanette streets and Parks to Pecan streets.

Both situations came about when water pipes were broken during road construction projects.

The City of Breckenridge has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
