City rescinds water boil notice for Lakeview Hills area
April 07
10:59 2018

The City of Breckenridge Public Works Director Houston Satterwhite announced Saturday morning, April 7, that the boil water notice that was issued on Wednesday, April 4, has been rescinded.

The notice affected water customers in the Lakeview Hills subdivision, including Sha Lane, Ridge Road, Sage Street and Yucca Drive.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Breckenridge to issue the boil water notice to inform customers that water from the system needed to be boiled prior to consumption.

The City has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.

For more information regarding the matter, call the City Offices at 254-559-8287 or the Water Office at 254-559-7249.
