Don’t forget….Daylight Saving Time begins today, Sunday, March 11. At 2 a.m., the official time moved forward an hour to become 3 a.m. That means, when everyone wakes up Sunday morning, the time will be changed.
The time changing practice first came to the United States 100 years ago, on March 31, 1918. The idea originated in England when the British Parliament proposed the Daylight Saving Act to reduce energy use and encourage outdoor activity. However, Germany actually passed such a law first, followed by Great Britain and then the United States.
