Two local areas are under boil water notices after both the City of Breckenridge and the Stephens Regional Special Utility District (rural water) issued notices.

Stephens Regional Special Utility District has issued a Boil Water Notice for their customers located on U.S. Highway 183 South, Farm to Market Roads 2231, 3099, 1032, 576 West and the first 2.75 miles of FM 576 East from the Highway 183 Intersection; the notice includes all adjacent county roads.
Stephens Regional Special Utility District issued a Boil Water Notice, effective Thursday, Aug. 10, for customers in the Eolian and Harpersville areas of Stephens County.
The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
The notice issued on Sept. 6 has been lifted.
