Malcolm Bufkin was named the Stephens County Fire Marshal at the County Commissioner meeting this morning, Monday, June 23. He was sworn in this afternoon.

Area firefighters are on the scene of a grassfire in northeast Stephens County, just hours after the County Commissioners enhanced the burn ban that’s been in place since June 24.
The City of Breckenridge will have a new City Fire Chief and Stephens County will have a new County Fire Marshal heading into 2022.
