Breckenridge High School senior Kason Burchett is giving the city’s Birdhouse Park a fresh look as part of his Eagle Scout project, focusing on restoring pathways, repairing birdhouses and improving the park’s appearance for the community.

Brother and sister Matthew Wunsch and Magdalynn (Maggie) Wunsch were presented with their Eagle Scout medals and badges in a ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 25.
The Stephens County Veterans Memorial will soon be refurbished with a new stone and repainted names, as well as other improvements, according to the Eagle Scout plan of Breckenridge Scout Kason Burchett.
Maggie Wunsch recently installed two new tables for the outside dining area at Breckenridge High School/Junior High School as her Eagle Scout project.
Scout worked with others to plan and install five life-saving safety posts at the swimming and camping area at Hubbard Creek Reservoir to help prevent drowning.
