The entire city of Breckenridge is under a Boil Water Notice today, Thursday, July 31, after a contractor hit a six-inch water line on East Walker Street this afternoon near the intersection at South Easton Street and both water towers were drained.

The City of Breckenridge’s Public Works Director, Kegan Burns, submitted his letter of resignation shortly after noon Thursday, June 26.

According to a public notice issued by Breckenridge City Manager Cynthia Northop at about 9 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, June 4, “a Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) has occurred caused by Inflow and Infiltration and an inability to keep up with the Flow at Lift Station #1.”

The North Central Texas Council of Governments has announced that City of Breckenridge Finance Director Diane Latham has completed an eight month-long program for “New & Emerging Finance Directors.”

The City of Breckenridge will host an Open House on Tuesday, May 27, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the newly renovated City Commission chambers at City Hall.
