Murder suspect Shane Anthony, age 47, of Breckenridge, appeared in the Stephens County district courtroom this afternoon, Thursday, June 11, for the first preliminary hearing in the case surrounding the death of 24-year-old Chyra Davis.

The charges against Shane Anthony of Breckenridge were upgraded to murder today, Wednesday, Jan. 28, in the death of Chyra Davis, who was found deceased yesterday at a property owned by Anthony.
The Texas Rangers and Breckenridge police discovered a body at a residence at 602 S. O’Connor St. today, Jan. 27, during their investigation into the disappearance of a 24-year-old woman, who was last heard from on Sunday, Jan. 18, according to Breckenridge Police Chief Blake Johnson.
The Breckenridge Police Department is seeking information regarding Chyra Davis, a young mother who has been reported as missing by her family and who was last seen in Breckenridge.
