The Bill Pearce era of the Breckenridge Buckaroos came to a close Friday, Dec. 26, when the long-time coach and trainer passed away at the age of 80.

It took nearly 24 hours and two different days to complete the game, but the Breckenridge Buckaroos were victorious against the Comanche Indians, 26-22.
The Breckenridge Buckaroos continued their District 3-3A campaign by hosting the Jim Ned Indians and hoping to rebound from last week’s loss to the Clyde Bulldogs, but it was the Indians that came out with the win, 49-7.
Despite having the lead in the third quarter Friday night, Oct. 10, the Buckaroos varsity football team lost their district opener to the Clyde Bulldogs in Clyde, 22-14.
