National Theatre announces 2026-27 Performance Series concerts
The National Theatre of Breckenridge has announced the lineup for its 2026-27 Performance Series, which will feature three concerts.
Dec. 5 Concert
The first performance will be a Christmas concert with two previous Performance Series entertainers, Maggie Amini and Danny Wright will perform on Saturday, Dec. 5, to kick off the holiday season.
Amini performed in Breckenridge last December with Kevin Singleton. Amini’s music is described as being “deeply rooted in faith and family.” Her musical background includes time spent teaching in the Dominican Republic, where she launched a music program for young girls and a high school choir. Her discography includes “Songs of Home” (2020), a collection of hymns; “Sanctuary Sessions” (2024), featuring live renditions of original songs; and the holiday album “So This Is Christmas.” Notable tracks include “All Who Are Thirsty” and “’Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus.”
Wright, who presented a Christmas concert in Breckenridge in 2023, is from Fort Worth and has recorded 57 albums and performed all over the world, including The Parliament of Religions in Salt Lake City, Utah; The Smith Center in Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as The Jack Springer Concert Hall in Calgary, Canada. He has sold over 11 million albums since his debut in 1986 and has twice been named by Billboard magazine as a “Top 10 Artist” in the new-age music genre, with three of his albums in Billboard’s Top 10 New Age Albums for three consecutive years. Trained as a classical pianist, he composes and performs original compositions that are blended with various influences, including contemporary jazz, classical and neoclassical.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. with the doors opening at 6 p.m.
Feb. 13 Concert
The second performance in the series will feature Texas-based country artist Hayden Baker, who blends classic honky-tonk with a contemporary edge. His 2025 album “Alive and Well” showcases his evolution as a songwriter and vocalist with songs that are deeply honest, richly expressive, and brimming with heart.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. with the doors opening at 6 p.m.
April 10 Concert
Closing out the Performance Series will be Jarrod Morris returning for a repeat engagement on April 10. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. with the doors opening at 6 p.m.
Morris last performed here with his band in 2024. They gave the local crowd a lively show featuring many of Morris’ own songs, as well as several covers.
He was born in Florida but grew up in Texas. He is a singer-songwriter focusing on country and Americana music.
