Matt Riley
Matthew Schuyler (Matt) Riley, age 33, of Breckenridge, passed away Friday September 4, 2026, in Breckenridge, Texas.
Matt was born on May 22, 1993, to mother Sarah Wesley Taylor and father Darin Riley in Graham, Texas. He worked in the oil field as a mechanic and had recently taken a job with Badger Services in Breckenridge. Matt loved anything with an engine and a stereo that was fast and loud. He enjoyed working on and riding his motorcycles and modifying and driving his many cars and trucks over the years. He also loved his sons and siblings, and spending time with them was one of his favorite activities.
He was preceded in death by grandmothers, Brenda Riley and Grace Wesley; and great-uncle, Wayne Duggan.
Survivors include his mother Sarah Taylor and husband Stacey of Graham; father, Darin Riley of Abilene; sons, Skyler and Everett Riley and their mother, Courtney, all of Graham; brothers, Josh Roberts and wife Toetu of Graham, Nathan Herring of Fort Worth, and Kayden Perkins of Necessity; sister, Tylen Medina and husband Leo of Breckenridge; grandparents, Pam Wesley of Graham, Chet Wesley and wife Sallie of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Vic Riley and wife Donna of Wayland; great-grandmother, Sheila Shelton and husband James (Cornbread) of Breckenridge; aunts, Mary Ross of Denton and family, Brandy Paris of Graham and family, Nocona, Cheyanna, Tashanna and their mother Punkie and families, all of Breckenridge; nieces, Emerson Roberts, Kaezel Medina, and Nellie Medina; nephews, Samuel Medina and Aven Perkins; and many other cousins, family, and friends.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, September 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the chapel at Morehart Mortuary. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date and location yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and/or the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
