Carlos Montes
Carlos Montes, 2, of Breckenridge, was called into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 4, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., with visitation to follow until 8 p.m., Thursday, September 3, at Morehart Mortuary.
Carlos Marcos Montes was born November 7, 2023, in Abilene, Texas to parents, Isaias Alonso Montes and Stephanie Markelle McCullough. He was baptized at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on April 18, 2026. Carlos was such a happy baby who loved life. He loved Paw Patrol, playing in the mud, climbing and using his favorite saying, “What’s that?” Carlos loved his people, especially his Bubba. He loved going to all of Bubba’s sports events and missed him when he was at school. Carlos was full of joy and brought so much happiness to everyone around him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steve McCullough; great-grandparents, Luis Duran, Sr., and Nina Bishop; great-aunt and uncle, Jose and Maria Monroy; and cousins, Amy Monroy and Audree Monroy.
He is survived by his parents, Isaias “Bebo” and Stephanie Montes; his brother, Elijah Montes; grandparents, Luisa and JC Montes, and Karen Bishop; great-grandparents, George Bishop, Jerry McCullough, and Toña Duran; aunts and uncles, Lourdes and Charles Carter, Luis and Alycia Duran, Maite and Chuck, Anthony Montes, Lupe Garcia, Elaina Moon, and Johnathin Hay; his Godfather, Edgar Palacios and KayAnna; numerous cousins, Christian and Damian Carter, Major and Mayah Roberson, Abbi and Sissi Duran, and Bruce Moon; and many other extended family members and friends.
