Prospero Fernandez, Jr.
Prospero Fernandez, Jr., was born on August 26, 1941, in Waterloo Township, Michigan. He passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by love and those who meant so much to him.
Pelón was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent many years as a committed employee of DairyPak. He took great pride in his work. Beyond his work, Pelón will be remembered most for the kind of man he was – someone with a great heart, a gentle spirit, and a love that touched the lives of many.
Pelón was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Prospero Fernandez and Antonia Sandoval; as well as his siblings, Cruz Fernandez, Ramiro Fernandez, Andrew Fernandez, Jose Fernandez, Lupe Fernandez, Adalida Cedillo, and Juliana Fernandez.
He is survived by his siblings, Francisco Fernandez, Manuel Fernandez, Dolores Rodolfo, Amelia Moreno, and Jessie Martinez; along with his extended family, loved ones, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 27, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Rosary will be recited from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, at Morehart Mortuary.
