Breckenridge VFW post plans 80th birthday celebration with dinner, auction and dance
Breckenridge’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7767 will celebrate the 80th anniversary of its founding with a fundraiser birthday party on Saturday, June 13.
The event, at the VFW, 216 E. Williams St., will include a dinner, a silent auction and a drawing for a grill giveaway. There will also be a dance with live music in the evening. The event is open to the public.
Tickets for the meal — brisket, beans, coleslaw and corn — cost $20 per plate.
The drawing will be for a a Nexgrill four-burner flat grill. Tickets for the grill drawing cost $5 each.
The celebration will start with the meal at 3 p.m., followed by a silent auction and the drawing for the grill at 5 p.m. The dance with live music at 6 p.m.
All proceeds from the event will benefit local VFW Post 7767.
