Monday, April 29
Reception for Police Chief
The City of Breckenridge will host a welcome reception and meet-and-greet for new Police Chief Blake Johnson from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 29, at the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce, 100 E. Elm St. The event will be open to the public, offering community members a chance to meet Johnson.

Early Voting Continues
Early voting in the Breckenridge City Election will continue through April 30. Election Day will be May 4. Click here for more details.

Saturday, May 4
Election Day
The City of Breckenridge will hold its City Commission election on Saturday, May 4. Click here for more details.

May 3-4Frontier DaysThe Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Frontier Days event on May 3-4. More details to come.

Saturday, May 11
Mental Health Awareness Event
A group of Breckenridge citizens have organized “Mind Matters: Break the Stigma,” a mental health awareness event, for Saturday, May 11. The event will begin at 6 p.m. on the Stephens County Courthouse lawn. There will be guest speakers, music, hot dogs, door prizes, mental health resources and a candlelight vigil. More details to come.

Monday, May 13
Stephens County Public Hearing
The Stephens County Commissioners’ Court will hold a public hearing at 9 a.m. Monday, May 13, on the topic of an amendment to the tax abatement agreement between Stephens County and La Casa Wind LLC. The meeting will be held in the District Courtroom on the second floor of the Stephens County Courthouse, 200 W. Walker St. Click here to see the notice for the public hearing.

Friday, May 24Breckenridge High School GraduationThe Breckenridge Breckenridge High School Class of 2024 will have its graduation ceremony on Friday, May 24. More details to come.

May 25-26Breckenridge AirshowThe Breckenridge Airshow is returning this year and is scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-26, at the Stephens County Airport. More details to come.
