Garage Sale
The Breckenridge Woman’s Forum will host a fundraising garage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Woman’s Forum, 1804 W. Walker St. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the organization’s building maintenance fund. The Woman’s Forum will accept donations for the garage sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, March 20; they will not accept clothing or shoes.

Alamo Movie
The Picketville Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will be sponsoring “The Alamo” movie, along with Alamo Historian, Kolby Lanham, who will introduce the movie by speaking and showing stills from the film coupled with images of historical documents, artifacts, and photographs, to provide a historical analysis of the movie. This event is scheduled for March 21, 2026 at 2pm at the Historic National Theater in Breckenridge, Texas. There is no cost for this event, popcorn and drink will also be provided at no cost. Golf Tournament
The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce will host the Johnny Bates Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 21, at the Breckenridge Country Club. The tournament will raise funds for scholarships for the Breckenridge High School 2026 graduating class. Click here to get all the details.
Sunday, March 22
First Christian Church Centennial Anniversary
Breckenridge’s First Christian Church will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the current church building, at 101 E. Williams St., during the regular service on Sunday, March 22. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will include a light luncheon in the undercroft following the service. Some of the parishioners who were raised in the church will speak during the service, and a variety of historical documents from throughout the church’s history will be on display. Gospel Concert
Ernie Couch & Revival, a Nashville, Tennessee-based gospel group, will perform Sunday, March 22, at 10:45 a.m. at First Methodist Church, located at 419 W. Walker St. Click here for more details.
Friday, March 27
Fish Fry Fundraiser
Breckenridge’s Knights of Columbus will host a Lenten Fish Fry from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church’s Parish Hall, 208 S. Miller St. The menu will include fish, beans, hushpuppies, cole slaw, French fries and tea. Tickets cost $10 per plate and may be purchased from Johnny Ponce at 254-246-1820, Robert Alvarez at 254-522-2181 or any Knights of Columbus member. Friday and Saturday, March 27-28
Book Sale
The Breckenridge Library, 209 N. Breckenridge Ave., will hold its Spring Book Sale on Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28. The sale will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. on March 27 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 28. Entry to the sale will be free, and shoppers should use the back door of the library.

David Lewis Concert
The Friends of Historic Breckenridge will present the final concert in the 2025-26 Performance Series on Saturday, March 28, when David Lewis performs at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $30 for adults and $10 for students. More details to come.
