Lovita Gay Jackson
Lovita Gay Jackson, 83, of Mineral Wells, Texas, passed away on April 16, 2026. A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories. A graveside service will be held Wednesday April 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Breckenridge Cemetery in Breckenridge, Texas, with Pastor Andy Rodgers officiating.
Gay, known also as Nana, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells. She loved working in her yard and fishing as well as spending time with her loved ones. Her faith was deep and she loved the Lord. She was the best Mom and best friend we could ask for.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Jolene Post and her husband Robert Jackson.
She is survived by her daughters Lisa Campbell of Mineral Wells, Kimberley Howell and (partner) Ray Vela of Mineral Wells. She has six grandchildren: Devon Howell, Ivan Campbell (fiancée Alana), Alec Apple, Kaegan Ralls (husband Josh), Kalee Calhoun and Kyle Calhoun. Great-grandchildren: Max and Noah, Paisley, Jace, Nolan and Tinleigh, Summer (Pumpkin), Sawyer (Tank). Also her brothers: Sam (Sonya), Tom, Ronnie (Deb), Mickey (Deanna) with several nieces and nephews.
While she will greatly be missed by those who loved and cherished her, we take solace in the fact that she is no longer in pain and is with Jesus rejoicing.
Condolences can be left at meltonkitchens.com.
