Kendra Mayfield was surrounded by family, friends and fellow Breckenridge business owners when she cut the ribbon, officially opening the new location of her boutique and party venue, The Vintage Butterfly.
The shop, which opened in 2014 on West Williams Street, recently moved to 3732 W. Walker St., Suite 300, next to Dollar Tree.
“As you know it’s been 11 years, and this has been a dream of mine for the last five and without all of you, I couldn’t have done it,” Mayfield said to the small crowd gathered inside the store on April 10 for the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce’s ribbon cutting ceremony. “I really, really appreciate all of your love, support, extra hours, heavy lifting. Thanks. Y’all are amazing. I just really am so thankful to get to be a part of this community. I love loving on the little children, and I enjoy so much my interactions with all of the women and men in this town. … I just feel so honored to get to serve this community.”
The new location has more space for Mayfield’s boutique items, including home décor (such as decorative pillows, area rugs, artificial flowers, etc.), greeting cards, accessories, including jewelry, purses, backpacks, and more. Additionally, there is a large party room with multiple tables and enough space for a bounce house.
Mayfield said she will continue to offer art classes for adults and kids, as well as to host private parties.
The Vintage Butterfly, 3732 W. Walker St., is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
