DA announces plea deals for February, March

Dee Peavy, the 90th Judicial District Attorney for Stephens and Young counties, has announced the following cases that were pleaded in February and March.
March 2026
- Nathaniel Allen Batek, 32, of Breckenridge, pleaded true to the violations alleged in the State’s Motion to Revoke Community Supervision for the offense of Aggravated Assault Causes Serious Bodily Injury – Lesser Included Offense, and was sentenced to eight years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division (TDCJ-ID) and was ordered to pay $2,500 fine and court costs; pleaded true to the violations alleged in the State’s Motion to Revoke Community Supervision for the offense of Assault Causes Bodily Injury – Family Member – Lesser Included Offense, and was sentenced to one year confinement in the county jail, and was ordered to pay court costs; and, pleaded guilty to the offense of Assault Family/Household Member with Previous Conviction, and was sentenced to eight years confinement in the TDCJ-ID, and was ordered to pay court costs.
- Christopher Lynn Stoker, 29, of Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1-B Less Than One Gram – Methamphetamine, and was sentenced to six months confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – State Jail Division (TDCJ-SJ), and was ordered to pay $1,000 fine court costs and restitution.
- Tyler Neal Ferrell, 32, of Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Forgery Financial Instrument Against an Elderly Individual, and was sentenced to four years community supervision, and was ordered to pay $1,000 fine, court costs and restitution.
- Dawson Scott Griffin, 23, of Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, and was sentenced to four years community supervision, and as ordered to pay $1,500 fine and court costs.
- Preston Levi Foreman, 24, of Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Abandon or Endanger Child – Intentionally/Knowingly/Recklessly/Criminal Negligence, and was sentenced to three years community supervision, and was ordered to pay $1,000 fine and court cost.
February 2026
- Zekee Titus Hjortshoej, 20, of Harlingen, pleaded guilty to the offense of Aggravated Assault Against Public Servant, and was sentenced to 25 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division (TDCJ-ID), and was ordered to pay $10,000 fine and court costs; and pleaded guilty to the offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon Causing Brain Injury/Paralysis, and was sentenced to 25 years confinement in the TDCJ-ID and was ordered to pay court costs.
