Ronald “Mack” Walker, 63, of Shep, Texas, passed away on March 28, 2026. His cremation has been entrusted to Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. The family will be having a private service at a later date.

Mack was born on October 17, 1962, in Winters, Texas, to Jimmy and Bonnie Walker. He grew up in the Happy Valley area, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors. From the time he was just five years old, riding dirt bikes, Mack found his joy in wide open spaces, whether he was in the mountains, hunting, fishing, or simply driving backroads and taking in the beauty of the countryside.

He spent the majority of his life working as a heavy equipment operator, a job that reflected his strong work ethic and hands-on nature.

Mack is survived by his loving mother, Bonnie Walker; his three children, Travis, Kaylee, and Russell; his sister, Jeannie Sorgen; and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie, and his father, Jimmy Walker.

Mack will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his independent spirit, and the simple joys he found in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Condolences can be left at meltonkitchens.com.
