Lavone Baird
Vera Lavone Baird, 94, of Tatum, New Mexico, passed away on March 11. Her funeral service at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home will be held on March 18, beginning at 10 a.m.; her interment will follow at Necessity Cemetery.
Lavone was born to parents Lonora and Lester Richardson in June 24, 1931, and she later married Bill Baird in 1947. She spent her working life as a beautician in Breckenridge, and after her husband died, she moved to Tatum, New Mexico.
Lavone left to meet our Lord, her husband Bill Baird, and mother and father, leaving behind her children, Robert L Baird, Vivian L Baird, Billy D Baird, and Ralph S Baird, and ten grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her honor to Meals on Wheels and left at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Condolences can be left and meltonkitchens.com.
