The auditorium was filled with family, friends, faculty and staff, and the Buckaroo Queen and Great Lord Chamberlain were surrounded by the royal court — students elected for various honors, including class favorites and representatives for the BHS student organizations. The Master of Ceremonies was teacher Robert Burchett.

The Alice in Wonderland-based theme included a black-and-white checkered carpet runner and brightly colored flowers. The girls wore jewel-tone and pastel dresses, and the guys wore dark tuxedos. During the entertainment portion of the event, the BHS theater department also performed a parody of Alice in Wonderland’s Tea Party.

Additionally, the queen was entertained by several of her classmates performing a variety of songs:

  • Shaley Cone — “Flowers” by Samantha Ebert
