Kaye Lockhart
Lavada Kaye Lockhart, age 79, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, in Arlington, Texas, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 13, 1946, in Albany, Texas. At the family’s request, there are no services planned.
Over the years, Kaye made her home in several Texas communities, including Albany, Breckenridge, Alvarado, and the Fort Worth area.
Known affectionately as Mama Kaye, Mimi, and Aunt Kaye, she was admired for her feisty spirit and loving nature. Kaye embraced life fully, finding joy in every place she lived and in every friendship she made. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her, and her strength in the face of adversity served as an inspiration to many.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Robert and Billy Mike Lockhart; her grandchildren, Brittany, Chanda, Madison, and Makayla; and her great-grandchildren, Beckett and Slater. Kaye was also a devoted sister to Betsy Edgar, Bill Ash, and sister-in-law Juana Ash. She leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Louise and Melvin Ash.
Kaye leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, hard work, and an enduring enthusiasm for life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
