Louise Saxton

Louise Saxton, 90, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on July 29. Her funeral service at the Elliott Street Church of Christ will be held on Saturday, August 2, beginning at 12 p.m., with Tommy Wolfe officiating.
Today, we celebrate the life of our beloved — Louise Saxton, affectionately known as “Mama2.” She was born in Albany, Texas, on July 2, 1935, and she passed away on July 29, 2025.
Louise married Buddy Lee Mercer in 1954, and together they brought five amazing children into the world. In 1986, she married Hugh Saxton, and they spent 27 years together full of love, laughter, and challenges.
She loved her family deeply, and she enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, being a leading force at keeping the family connected and supporting her children at every challenge of life.
Louise is survived by her five children: Rickey Mercer and wife Sandra, Randy Mercer and wife Hildie, Buddy Joe Mercer, Rhea (Mercer) Lester and husband Charles, and Ron Mercer and wife Deborah. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cleo Hash; and father, Herbert James Reynolds; husband Hugh Saxton; and siblings: Marie Loggains, George Reynolds, and Shirley Ruddock.
