Gary Southerland
Gary Southerland, age 59 of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019. A reception will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the fellowship hall at Gunsight Baptist Church. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Gary Ray Southerland was born September 28, 1959, in Springfield, Missouri, to parents, Tommy Southerland and Kay Shockley. He attended and graduated school in Breckenridge and was active in track. On November 11, 2012, he married Laura Mae Fullen. Gary worked as a machinist and welder for Southwest and more recently Bridgeport Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his step-father, William Standifer.
Mr. Southerland is survived by his wife, Laura Wilson of Breckenridge; his mother, Kay Standifer of Breckenridge; his father, Tommy Southerland of Breckenridge; two sisters, Carol Kuhn of Abilene and Ann George of Breckenridge; five step-children, Michael Strawn Vandygriff, Brandon Vandygriff, Marla Rogers, Jared Meeks and Brandon Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
