Graveside Services will follow on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Breckenridge Cemetery with Danny Brown officiating.
He was born on March 20, 1944, to Velton Travis Moser and Winnie Mae Allen Moser in Waxahachie, Texas.
Raised in Eastland, Texas, he developed an interest in radio and went on to pursue an education in the field. He began his career at a radio station in Eastland before answering the call to serve his country in the United States Army. While stationed in Germany, he met his first wife, Theresia Schuck.
Following his military service, he and Theresia made their home in Breckenridge, where they welcomed their two sons, Damon in 1965 and Mark in 1970. Over the years, he established himself as a hardworking entrepreneur, building KSTB radio station before venturing into the oil industry in the 1980s. In 1990, he founded Buddy’s Bail Bonds, beginning what would become his lifelong career and an enduring part of his legacy in Breckenridge.
In 1976, he married the love of his life, Mary Ann Morales. They shared 36 wonderful years together, building a life centered on unwavering devotion and a home that was open to all. In 2012, his family grew once more when he welcomed Ariel as his daughter.
For Buddy, taking care of others went beyond a sense of duty. It was how he showed his love. His generosity and willingness to lift up his loved ones were defining parts of the man he was.
He is preceded in death by his parents Velton and Winnie Moser; and his wife Mary Ann Moser.
He is survived by his children, Damon Moser of Breckenridge, Mark Moser and wife Jennifer of Wichita Falls, Ariel Moser of Breckenridge, and Cindy James and husband Roy of Breckenridge; his grandchildren, Shelby Ball and husband Wade of Breckenridge, Makenna Moser of Denver, Katelyn McQuerry and husband Jordan of Wichita Falls, and Michael Moser of Wichita Falls; great-grandchildren, Madeline Ball, Brooks Ball, Colton McQuerry, and Cadyn McQuerry; his sisters, Beverly Copeland of Abilene, Juli Wyatt and husband Bruce of Eastland, and Donna Hart of Eastland; and his devoted caregiver and friend Tina Giles and husband Mike. He also leaves behind many others who held a special place in his family as well as many who considered him family.
