Wayne Crudgington
Wayne Crudgington, age 84, of Breckenridge, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, in the Post Oak Cemetery with Pastor Dannie Lee officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, at Morehart Mortuary.
Edward Wayne Crudgington was born February 22, 1942, in Breckenridge, Texas, to parents, Robert E. Crudgington and Annie Lee Parker Crudgington. On April 8, 1966, he married Nora Evonne Lipps in Woodson, Texas. Mr. Crudgington worked for the City of Breckenridge as a heavy equipment operator for over 20 years and then went to work for Stephens County for several years before his retirement. He enjoyed reading, going to museums and learning about history. Above all, Wayne loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters and great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and five siblings, Van Crudgington, Art Crudgington, Cotton Crudgington, Billy Crudgington, Dorothy Crudgington.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeannie Gann and husband Shane; three granddaughters, Sierra Gann and Max Torres, Megan Hope and husband Seth, Kirsten Capps and husband Cody; four great-granddaughters, Nora Capps, Adeline Capps, Ella Gann, and Ivy Hope; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Jenna and Kelsey at Solaris Hospice for their great care of Wayne.
