Gilbert Ruiz
Gilbert Ruiz, age 66, of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Gilbert Medina Ruiz was born September 24, 1959, in Stamford, Texas, to parents, Pete Ruiz, Sr. and Dominga Medina Ruiz. On May 16, 2016, he married Lisa Ramirez in Breckenridge. Gilbert was a very joyful person and loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed oldies music.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Adelita Ruiz, Mary Ruiz and Pete Ruiz, Jr.
Gilbert is survived by his wife, Lisa Ruiz; six children, Adriana Ruiz, Domingo Ruiz, Stephanie Ruiz, Jenny Ruiz, Jaclyn Patterson Ruiz, and Francisco Ruiz; four siblings, Karolyn Rodriguez and husband Jesse, Louis Ruiz, Rebecca Ruiz and Timoteo Chavez, Sylvia Ruiz; numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
