Ellen Todd
Ellen Trogdon – Todd, 89, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on August 8, 2026. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories in Breckenridge, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m.
Ellen Todd was born on May 26, 1937, in Buseck, Germany, to Josef Bender and Elisabetha Menke Bender. Ellen married Howard Dale Trogdon on May 5, 1955, in Wiesbaden, Germany. In 1956 they moved to Pryor, Oklahoma. Dale was a diesel mechanic and worked in the oil fields in Texas. They settled in Denver City, Texas. Dale Trogdon passed away on December 1, 1972.
Ellen married L.C. Todd on May 14, 1974. Ellen and L.C. enjoyed fishing and their dogs. Ellen loved to dance, go on cruises and travel on tour buses meeting new people. She always enjoyed returning to Germany every two years to visit relatives.
Ellen was preceded in death by her first husband Dale Trogdon, second husband L.C. Todd, brother Gunter Bender, and grandson Scott Turner.
Ellen is survived by her three children: Carolyn and husband Ben of Pryor, Oklahoma; Lisa and husband Richard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Norman and wife Leslie of Pryor, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Sandy Carol Chamberlain and husband Scott of Hobbs, New Mexico; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and her many friends from Breckenridge, Texas.
