Sandra Ann Kennedy
Sandra Ann Kennedy, 58, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on July 17, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories in Breckenridge, with J.B. Sparks officiating.
Sandra Kennedy was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who was always willing to help anyone in need. She graduated from Texas State Technical College (TSTC) with an Associate’s Degree as the valedictorian of her class and began her career working in a veterinary clinic. An animal lover through and through, Sandra cared for dogs, cats, horses, a cow, a goat, a fox, raccoons, skunks, possums, ducks, birds, and any creature that needed help. Unable to have children of her own, her animals became her babies.
Sandra was a doting aunt to her niece Ashley and her friends, and to her nephew Kyle. They loved staying with her, knowing she would do anything for them or buy them whatever they wanted. Her best friend was her mother, Sarah; the two shared a deep bond, fun times, and a love of life. When Sandra was diagnosed with cancer while her mother was also battling the disease, she chose not to pursue treatment so she could care for her mother. Their special bond could never be broken.
Sandra was a devoted wife to her husband, Pat, for 31 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Sarah Dover, and her brother Michael Dover.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick Kennedy; her step-children, Patrick Kennedy and his wife Jamie, and step-daughter Shayna and her husband Zack Kindrachek; her sister Tracey Sargent of Albany, Texas; her brother Dwaine Knight of Albany, Texas; her niece Ashley Wood of Albany, Texas; nephew Kyle Sargent and his wife Taylor of Godley, Texas; niece Susan Sargent of Abilene; niece Becky Grissom of Brownwood; and niece Krystal Sargent of Clyde.
Sandra will live in our hearts forever.
