Brenda Gale Hobbs
Brenda Gale “Ginny” Hobbs, 75, left this world on July 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love, loyalty, and kindness that will continue through everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on December 18, 1950, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Jack and Mildred Burton Dendy, Ginny later married the love of her life, Bart “Randy” Hobbs, on May 10, 1972. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering devotion to one another. Ginny lived a life rooted in compassion, generosity, and genuine care for others. She was the kind of person who never met a stranger. Her warm smile, welcoming spirit, and generous heart made everyone feel like family. Whether someone needed a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply a place to belong, she was always there without hesitation. Her loyalty to those she loved was one of her greatest gifts. She stood beside her family and friends through life’s greatest celebrations and its hardest seasons, offering steady encouragement, unconditional love, and quiet strength.
To know Ginny was to know someone you could always count on. Well known throughout her community, Ginny never sought recognition. Instead, she quietly touched countless lives through simple acts of kindness. She believed in treating everyone with respect, extending grace freely, and making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her kindness reached far beyond her family, leaving lasting memories in the hearts of neighbors, lifelong friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all, Ginny treasured her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with those she loved, sharing stories, celebrating milestones, and creating memories that will be cherished for generations. She was the heart of her family, and her presence made every gathering feel like home. Her greatest joy was loving her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even those she welcomed into her heart as family.
Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in the beautiful life she lived and the example she set. Her kindness, loyalty, strength, and unconditional love will continue to guide those she leaves behind.
Ginny is survived by her brother, R.T. Dendy of Weatherford, Texas; her sister-in-law, Sue Breeden of Albany, Texas; her daughter, Stacy Bowen and husband Frankie Early of Abilene, Texas; her sons, Steven Hobbs and wife Melissa of Albany, Texas, and John Hobbs and wife Barbara of Hawley, Texas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Britney Zamudio and husband Andre of San Angelo, Texas; Candace Leverton of Tye, Texas; Savannah Hobbs of Albany, Texas; Allie Holson and husband David of Albany, Texas; Breanne Portor of Hawley, Texas; Stetson Hobbs and wife Kelli of Buffalo Gap, Texas; Sterlin Hobbs and his high school sweetheart, Trinity McBee, of Albany, Texas; Casey Bowen of Abilene, Texas; James Kerr, Chris Hobbs, and Dakota Hobbs, all of Breckenridge, Texas; her beloved great-grandnephew, Cole Moore, who held a special place in her heart and was loved as one of her own grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; eight great-granddogs; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mildred Dendy; her beloved husband, Randy Hobbs; two brothers; three sisters; her beloved grandson, Eric; and her soul dogs, Tinker and Izzy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Morehart Mortuary in Albany, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Albany Cemetery.
While we mourn her absence, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Ginny’s legacy will live on in every act of kindness shown, every story shared, and every heart she touched. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in our hearts.
