The community will have an opportunity to meet the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center’s currently featured artist and photographers during a reception Saturday afternoon, June 27.

The reception, featuring artist Steve Miller and the photographers of The Lightcatchers, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the BFAC. Visitors can meet the creators, explore their work and hear the stories behind the paintings and photographs currently on display. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will offer a chance for guests to learn about the inspiration behind the pieces and the people who created them.

The Lightchatchers exhibit features the photography of some of the members of the Red River Photography Club in Wichita Falls. The local exhibit is titled “Weathered Wood and Rust: Exploring Forgotten Texas.”

Miller’s art exhibit, “Echoes of a Journey,” includes some of his oil, pastels, charcoal, and casein paintings. The exhibit has been on display at the BFAC all spring and will be closing this weekend. Click here to read the Breckenridge Texan’s previous article  about the exhibit.

The BFAC is located at 207 N. Breckenridge Ave. and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, visit the website www.breckenridgefineart.org or call the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center at 254-559-6602.
