Ruby Carey
Ruby Carey, age 91, of Houston, formerly of Breckenridge, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026. Services have entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Ruby Frances Knight was born on April 14, 1934, in Breckenridge, Texas, to William Amos Knight and Mary Sue Slemmons Knight. She was a lifelong resident of Breckenridge before moving to Houston four years ago to be close to her daughter. Ruby was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Brown of Houston; one sister, Elizabeth Gray; two grandchildren, Eric Mazzoli and Carina Smith; and one great-grandson, Jaxson Mazzoli.
