Deborah Hart
Deborah Hart, 73, of Spring, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2026. Debi’s graveside service at Hart Cemetery will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m. with J.B. Sparks officiating.
Deborah Ann Hart, or “Debi” as we all knew her, passed away of natural causes after a lengthy battle with her health in Spring, Texas. Debi was born the first child of two in Houston, Texas, at St. Joseph’s Hospital to Thomas and Dorothy Hassett. She was raised a Houstonian alongside her younger sister, Diane.
Deborah grew up in the West Side community of Houston called Memorial. As a young woman, Debi was known to be a creative spirit, a vivacious presence, and a rebellious voice against the status quo. Choir was her passion at Memorial High School. She graduated in the Spring of 1971, which led her to continue her studies at Sam Houston State University. Being a creative spirit, Debi decided to pursue the theatre program at SHSU, which led to meeting the love of her life, Timothy Hart. Tim claims that their first meeting was like being hit over the head with a hammer, and from that point, there was no other girl but her. In 1972, Tim and Debi were wed and began a 54-year adventure together.
Debi lived in several places around Texas with Tim as they grew their family. They started out in Breckenridge near her in-laws, moved to Orange when Tim got his first Theatre teaching job, and finally settled in Spring. Debi was right by Tim’s side, supporting his career and his many beloved students. During this time, she gave birth to her two daughters and became a dedicated stay-at-home mother.
The creative and rebellious spirit never left Debi. She was always trying to instill a sense of whimsy and fun into her girls, reminding them to always stay young at heart. Debi was passionate about her heritage, her husband, and her daughters. She loved horror stories and movies, books, music, theatre, history, the color green, antiques, and, of course, her family. Debi will be remembered as a passionate, loving soul.
Deborah Ann Hart is preceded in death by her grandparents and parents. She is survived by her husband, Tim, her daughters, Crystal and Candice, and her grandsons, Aidan and Noah.
