Gospel group Ernie Couch & Revival to perform at First Methodist Church on March 22
Gospel music fans will have an opportunity to hear a nationally known group later this month when Ernie Couch & Revival comes to Breckenridge.
The Nashville, Tennessee-based gospel group will perform Sunday, March 22, at 10:45 a.m. at First Methodist Church, located at 419 W. Walker St.
Ernie Couch & Revival features three generations of musicians and performs a mix of 20th century gospel classics and original songs. The group has traveled and performed across the United States and Canada for more than three decades, presenting what they describe as a professional evening of music.
The group is known for its live music, good humor and genuine spirit. Many describe the act as refreshingly different and a lot of fun.
Jason Couch said the group aims to connect with audiences of all backgrounds. “We want to reach everyone from all age groups and backgrounds, with the message of the music,” he said in a news release. “We enjoy what we do and want the people to enjoy it just as much. We certainly will give it all we got in the time we have.”
During its years of performing, the group has received a Grammy nomination and has had a number of songs appear on gospel charts in the United States and abroad. They have also recorded with artists including George Beverly Shea, Jake Hess, George Jones, Petra, James Earl Jones, Patti Page, Poco and Dallas Holm.
The performance will take place during the Sunday service at First Methodist Church in Breckenridge. Community members are invited to attend the event.
