Joshua Powers
Joshua Powers, 20, of Breckenridge, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 5, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Rodgers and Bailey Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Joshua James Powers was born July 7, 2005, in Childress, Texas, to Brandon Todd Powers and Savannah Foster. Joshua spent his childhood in Quanah before he moved to Breckenridge in 2021. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 2024. Joshua continued his education at Cisco College in Abilene and earned his HVAC certification and was employed by Ferguson-Veresh Inc. in Wichita Falls. He was involved in the youth group at First Baptist Church where he was very active and helped on mission trips.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Joshua Powers; paternal great-grandfather, Oscar Wilson; maternal grandmother, Shadella Foster; maternal great-grandmother, Delores Foster.
Joshua is survived by his parents, Brandon Powers of Breckenridge and Savannah Foster of Quanah; one sister, Briley Powers of Breckenridge; grandparents, Billy and Cynthia Powers of Quanah, Patricia Lakin of Graham, and Craig Foster of Haskell; great-grandmother, Dorothy Morse of Quanah; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
