Robert Wilkinson
Robert Wilkinson, age 73, of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 28, at Morehart Mortuary with W.C. Roach officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Robert Lee Wilkinson was born June 14, 1952, in Snyder, Texas, to William “Bill” Wilkinson and Mary Ellen Ambrose. Robert graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1972 and then went on to attend college. He worked as an electrician in the oilfield as well as an HVAC service technician before his retirement. On September 5, 1980, he married Joetta Nelson in Breckenridge. Robert enjoyed fishing, cooking out, making people laugh and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Sternadel; and three siblings, Lynda Puckett, Fred Wilkinson and Fred James.
Robert is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joetta Wilkinson; five children, Richard Wilkinson and wife Gneta, Ricky Nelson and wife Chasity, Bobby Sternadel and wife Angel, Christina Burkett and Chris Ross, Mary Jenkins and husband Freddie; three siblings, Billy Wilkinson and wife Becky, Eddie Ambrose and wife Tori, Judy Wilkinson and husband Piar; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
