Renetta Roberson
Renetta Roberson, 66, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. Her memorial service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church will be held on January 17, beginning at 2 p.m.
Born on August 19, 1959, Renetta was a lifelong resident of Breckenridge and a cherished pillar of her community. Renetta was a devoted and faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where her love for the Lord guided every aspect of her life. Her faith was deeply rooted, and she lived it daily through kindness, compassion, and service to others. Renetta truly believed in caring for people — not just in words, but through action.
After graduating from high school, Renetta pursued a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), dedicating many years to caring for the elderly of Breckenridge. She had a natural calling to be a caregiver — selfless, patient, and loving — always placing the needs of others before her own. Her strength, resilience, and nurturing spirit touched countless lives.
Renetta was a strong woman and a devoted mother, sister, cousin, and friend. She never met a stranger and was known for her beautiful smile, warm spirit, and generous heart. Anyone who knew her knew they were loved, welcomed, and supported.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children: Vanessa Roberson (Talia) of Chantilly, Virginia; Larry Huitt of Breckenridge, Texas; Kerry Huitt (Emily) of Bentonville, Arkansas; and Mathue Huitt (Ashton) of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters Marilyn Garvin (Carl) of Breckenridge, Texas and Lorea Roberson of Abilene, Texas; her brothers Boyce Roberson of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Troy Roberson (Trish) of Breckenridge, Texas; her grandchildren Taylor, Madison, Isaiah, Aiden, Darrell Jr., Tevyn, Larry III, Keira, Gracie, Cassidy, King, and Reshaud; her great-grandchild, Dezie King; and a host of other relatives, extended family members, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Renetta was preceded in death by her beloved husband Larry Huitt; her sons Christopher Roberson and Darrell Roberson; her parents Billy and Iris Roberson; her brother Billy Roberson Jr.; and her sister Lana Roberson.
Renetta’s legacy of faith, strength, and unconditional love will continue to live on through her family, her church, and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
