Cynthia Hall, 71, of Breckenridge, passed away on December 16, 2025. Her memorial service at the Gunsight Baptist Church will be held on Saturday, December 20, beginning at 11 a.m. with Patrick Frishe officiating.

Cynthia Joe Hall was born June 8, 1954, in Albany, Texas, to Lois Darlene Goodman. She attended Albany Schools and graduated from Albany High School in 1972. She attended Cisco Junior College, where she was an active member of the CJC Wrangler Band. While at CJC, Cynthia was a member of “Black Unlimited Plus II,” a singing group that made numerous appearances at local churches and talent shows in Cisco and around the area. The group’s most notable appearance was on “Insight Understanding,” a show featured on the KRBC-Abilene television station.

After attending CJC, Cynthia moved on to East Texas State University (currently known as East Texas A&M University), where she graduated in 1976 with a degree in Education.

She married Louie Hall Jr. in 1977 in Albany, Texas.

Cynthia began her teaching career at Breckenridge Independent School District in 1977, where she was known for her famous “Red Kisses” given to students on Fridays. Over the course of her teaching career, former students in middle and high schools were known to make frequent stops at Mrs. Hall’s campus to get their “Red Kisses.”

She retired from teaching at Breckenridge ISD in 2010. Cynthia was an active member of the community, organizing the Little Bucks Cheerleaders and participating in community plays. She also served on the board of the Stephens County Historical Society.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Darlene Goodman; aunt Mary Joe Myers; uncle Robert Myers; mother-in-law Peggy Hall; father-in-law Louie Hall, Sr.; and brother-in-law Curtis Ray Hall.

Cynthia is survived by: Husband, Louie Hall, Jr.; daughter, Ashley Biggs and husband Cody of Weatherford; cousin, Twanna Willis and husband, Henry of Abilene; brother-in-law, Lonnie Hall, and step-granddaughter, Laura Biggs of Stephenville.

Memorials in her honor can be made to the American Heart Association and left at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home, and condolences can be left at meltonkitchens.com.
