A graveside service with Masonic Rites will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, in the Moran Cemetery with Melvin Clay officiating. James Thomas (Jim) Rumage, Jr. was born in Jacksboro, Texas, on December 11, 1950, to parents, James Thomas Rumage, Sr. and Bernice Evelyn Riddle Rumage. On June 14, 1991, Jim married Debbie Hudson Eberle in Jacksboro. He was the best son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, coach, principal and superintendent to all who knew him. Of all the good qualities Jim had, the most important was the love for the Lord, then came his family! He adored his children and grandchildren and every niece and nephew. Jim was the most loving guy. He never met a stranger and always saw the best in people. One of Jim’s greatest joys was cooking for family and friends. Anyone that sat at his table knew the warmth of his generous heart. He took great pride in being a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a blessing to life itself.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Bernice Rumage; and his brother-in-law, Frank Besselaar.

Jim is survived by his wife, Debbie Rumage of Graham; three children, Scott Thomas Rumage and partner Allen of Connecticut, Jason Eberle and wife Amy of Graham, and LeAnn Bond and husband Walker of Keller; one sister, Janis Besselaar of Jacksboro; seven grandchildren, Taylor Eberle Truesdell and husband Clayton, Jackson Eberle, Morgan Eberle, Savannah Bond, Mary Caroline Bond, Abigail Bond, and Carson Bond; two great-grandsons, Tritt Walls and Tate Walls; one great-granddaughter due in June, Clayre; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorials may be made to BreakthroughT1D.org or to the charity of the donor’s choice and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at morehartmortuary.net.
