Darrell Roberson, 43, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2025. His memorial service at Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, beginning at 1 p.m. with Danny Brown officiating.

Born on October 16, 1981, in Breckenridge, Texas, Darrell was the beloved son of Renetta Roberson Huitt and Larry Huitt. After graduating from high school, Darrell continued his education and earned his certification from welding school in 2012. He took great pride in his craft and was known for his hard work.

To know Darrell was to know a man who loved deeply, laughed easily, and lived with a powerful faith. If you knew Darrell, you knew he knew the Bible inside and out — and he often shared words of wisdom and encouragement that reflected his strong spiritual foundation.

Darrell was a father, son, brother, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons, Darrell Roberson Jr. of Chantilly, Virginia, and Isaiah Briones of Lubbock, Texas; his loving sister Vanessa Roberson Hernandez of Chantilly, Virginia; his brothers Kerry Huitt of Dallas, Texas, Mathue Huitt of Dallas, Texas, and Larry Huitt Jr. of Breckenridge, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and dear friends who all loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Iris and Billy Roberson, and his brother Christopher Roberson, all of whom welcomed him home with open arms.

Darrell will forever be remembered for his strong faith, his love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him. His light will continue to shine through the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to The Open Door, Breckenridge, and left at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Condolences can be left at meltonkitchens.com.
